Brent surprised me with a Sunday outing to the beautiful coastal town of Pt. Reyes. There is nothing a little drive out of town to the shore with some sun fog won’t do to clear your head.
Although it was extremely foggy, it was a truly gorgeous site. There are rolling hills covered in grazing dairy cows, creeks leading the path to the Pacific and jagged cliffs lining the shore as far as your eyes can see.
Daisy had a little too much fun while out on the beach and when she sufficiently tired herself out, we headed over to downtown Pt. Reyes station.
My love of cheese is what first put Pt. Reyes on the map of places I must visit and when I realized Cow Girl Creamery was based there as well, there was no question as to where we’d be stopping.
If you find Cow Girl Creamery fromage blanc or truffle tremor in the cheese aisle, stop whatever you’re doing it and buy now!
We ended our trip with dinner in Santa Rosa. We’ve always loved visiting breweries together and sharing a sampler; so we ended our anniversary weekend how we started out six years ago, over a brew.
